There is something fun and luxurious about a leisurely weekend breakfast. You can relax, go casual and enjoy fantastic comfort food that will keep you full and happy all day long. Going to the neighborhood breakfast spot is a great way to run into friends, but every now and then it’s good to venture out and try something new.
Here are 3 of my favorite breakfast spots:
- Hectors in Kirkland: I’m a sucker for cinnamon rolls and homemade granola. Theirs are amazing. Be sure to split the cinnamon roll with someone, though, or you are guaranteed to end up in a food coma.
- Matlby Café: Go early, or be prepared to wait. Either way, it’s worth it. Fantastic food, generous portions and a country atmosphere are a great way to start the weekend.
- Snoqualmie Lodge: When you want to splurge this is the place to do it. Elegant atmosphere, views of the falls and a 7 course breakfast will get you going. Fortunately you can enjoy a walk on the trail down to the falls afterwards to work off your meal.
