Here’s a secret you may not know about the benefits of living on Eastside: hitting the slopes for ski season is a lot faster.
You’ll get a jump on Seattle traffic (or you can just sleep in a little longer) when you’re heading to Stevens Pass or the Summit at Snoqualmie Pass.
But what you may not know is that living on the Eastside makes it even easier to take advantage of night skiing!
Sometimes on a Friday afternoon in winter, we’ll pick our kids up from school and head immediately to Snoqualmie Pass. (From Bellevue it’s less than a 50-minute drive and from Kirkland it’s about an hour.) We get to the mountain and we quickly get on the slopes to enjoy a few hours of night skiing and then dinner before heading back home.
We get home usually sometime around 10, which is late, but it’s absolutely worth it. We love starting the weekend with our skiing already complete!
