What’s Fresh Now! The festivities begin again with the opening of the farmers market season. I love that every spring we come together as a community to support our local farms and businesses. There’s always something for everyone to love, from jewelry and art to food and live music.
What I love most is that going to the market has become an event. Yes, you can pick up some yummy locally grown produce, but they have so much more. The boys always manage to find a tasty treat at one of the bakery stands, I love to check out the local art and jewelry and a trip to the market would not be complete without a beautiful bouquet of flowers. And, if you go in the evening, be sure to visit the food vendors for a fantastic dinner!
Two of my favorites are the Kirkland Market, which is Wednesdays at the Marina Park. Located right on the waterfront it’s the perfect place to spend the afternoon. The Bellevue Farmers market is great too.
One of my favorite things about the Kirkland Farmers Market is that they hold it at Marina park with is right downtown and on the water. The boys and I always go down a couple of times each summer to eat pizza on the beach and then enjoy the giant chocolate chip cookies from Deru market.
