One of my favorite things about the 425 area is the food, so it was an absolute pleasure chatting with Rob Rosemont the owner of The Roadhouse Restaurant And Inn located in the beautiful Snoqualmie Valley, in Fall City. As a former history teacher, Rob was looking for a career change when the opportunity to purchase The Roadhouse Restaurant And Inn came up. That was 2 years ago, and he’s been loving life ever since.
The Roadhouse is an over 100 year old historical landmark, serving up American and pub house classic cuisine. Not only is it popular to the locals but it’s known to millions of people as the local bar for the 1990’s series “Twin Peaks“. Fans travel from all around the world to visit The Roadhouse and attend the The Twin Peaks annual festival, the last weekend in July. Rob hosts the kick off party, and the closing party each year and fills up his Inn a year in advance!

Make no mistake, being a landmark on a TV show will bring in a lot of business but it’s truly the location and food that brings people back again and again. When Rob purchased the restaurant he changed the entire menu, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily with specialty breakfast entree’s, like their homemade corned beef hash, the ugly breakfast, and gourmet burgers, from a meatloaf burger to a lamb burger.

Located in the heart of Fall City, it’s a perfect spot to spend the day or weekend exploring all the Valley has to offer. Just minutes from the stunning Snoqualmie Falls, family friendly Remlinger Farms, and you pick blueberries at Henna Blueberry Farm. On a sunny day stop in for brunch, reserve an inner tube, and jump on the shuttle to float the river, a must do!
In real estate chat today it seemed appropriate to discuss “commute vs. home price: how far you are willing to drive”, as Fall City could be considered to some a longer commute to the Seattle area. The graph I mentioned show’s the average Seattle home prices is over a million dollars, where as if you are willing to drive just a little further out, 30 to 60 miles you’ll see a significant price drop averaging about the mid eight hundred range.
Follow The Roadhouse Restaurant And Inn Facebook and Instagram for upcoming events, and head out to Fall City today, to say hi to Rob at The Roadhouse Restaurant And Inn, you won’t be disappointed!
Cheers,
Nicole
