Sixteen years ago Dan and Bliss found themselves ready to make a move from the expensive, California Bay area. They wanted to focus on more time for themselves, and find an area that didn’t compromise their love of the arts, and the views they were used to. After a little research, they made a trip out to Bellingham and immediately fell in love with the area.

A short two hour drive from Seattle, Bellingham, home of Western WA University and the surrounding area truly offers something for everyone.
Fairhaven, on the water, is a popular tourist destination and the historical district features a seasonal farmer’s market as well as numerous restaurants and shops. Lynden a small, charming city, with it’s two windmills is a favorite of Dan and Bliss’ was voted the best main street in America!
The arts and film community is thriving in Bellingham! With 3 independent film screens, including Pickford Film Center offers music festivals, children’s theater and their annual Doctober, a month long celebration of the art of the documentaries. The Upfront Theatre, an improv, and comedy theater with Ryan Styles offers classes for all ages and experience levels. A quick 45 minute drive to Vancouver, BC allows you to take advantage of some of their amazing, seasonal exhibits.
For the outdoor enthusiasts enjoy some of the states top rated hiking trails, marked with easy to find yellow headed steaks. Take a short ferry ride to Lummi Island and have an out of this world dinning experience, voted one of the best of 10 restaurants in the world at Willows Inn.
