Tis the season for giving and shopping! I love shopping – even more so when I’m supporting local, small business. Today on The 425 Show, I chatted with Erica Becker Morin, owner of Provocatrix Desgins. Located in in the heart of the charming, Historic Downtown Snoqualmie.┬áCelebrating their first year in business – Erica has put her heart and soul into the store. Creating a modern, mountain lifestyle shop, filled with unique gifts from cowhide and sheepskin rugs, furniture, lighting, textiles, dishware, maker goods, hand crafted jewelry, gifts and more! There’s something for everyone, and you’ll fall in love with the airy decor the minute you walk in.

After listening to a guest speaker, who had the title of ‘Provocateur’, Erica was fascinated by the meaning of the word, so it seemed fitting to name her store Provocatrix – the female version of the word. Provocatrix, a sassy meaning to ‘nudge’ or ‘provoke’, she helps her customers explore outside their comfort zone, and take a design risk.

Erica’s long background in creative arts, and schooling in graphic, and interior design gave her the opportunity to open her first store, allowing her to interact with customer’s on a daily basis, while still offering her interior design services through Just B Art+design. A small custom interior design firm working with new construction, remodels, or something as simple as a home refresh. Carrying many of the items she uses in her interior design projects, in her store, she offers customers design advice – and as she likes to refer to herself your own Personal Environment Coach! For a full list of recent design projects you can follow them on Facebook, or check out Just B Art+ Designs website, projects.

Erica is truly passionate about helping her clients find a unique treasure to take home or share a gift with someone else. Whether you’re looking for the perfect hostess gift, or a special gift for men or women she’s the master at putting together the perfect grab-n-go gift sets, making you a hero gift giver.

Sometimes it can be a bit overwhelming when looking through a unique gift store, and equally difficult to picture those items in your home. You’ve fallen in love with an item – but just don’t know what to do with it. Her new adventure this year is offering after hour design classes, helping her customers see the multiple uses of one, or two items. Follow them on Instagram for beautiful design ideas, and for a list of upcoming events check out their Facebook.

Whether you’re looking for a gift for co-workers, your special someone, or just need to spruce up a room and need some design advice check out Provocatrix! For more information on Erica’s interior design services you can contact her through email.

Cheers!
