Today on The 425 Show it was all about empowering women. Jill Nichols Hicks, owner of Illuminating Women, LLC shared her passion for bringing women together to create community and connections both personally and professionally.

It started as an idea to host a girls night out in 2014. Jill invited entrepreneurial women and had a couple guest speakers share their story about how they started their business.

What started as a girls night out turned into a community of women that offers monthly gatherings and annual events giving women an opportunity to connect. Jill’s goal is to empower, encourage, and educate women. Her monthly events give women the opportunity to share their value while connecting with others..

Her most popular monthly event continues to be “Girls Night Out”. where each month they meet in a new location, listen to a guest speaker, and  discuss current topics. This month, join Jill on October 19, 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm Dilettante Mocha Cafe enjoy a short presentation by Sue Mocker, of Hope Allowed, then break into small groups.

Another popular monthly event, held the last Thursday of every month, is her “Brick And Mortar” event where they focus on women owned businesses. Topics of discussion focus on: how they got started, what they would do differently, and their defining moment of success. This months will be October 25, 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Revolve Consignment in Issaquah.

Jill’s annual events draw just a many women. Followed by a trip in January where they take some time for self care, this year taking place in Costa Rica.
