There’s a long list of reasons to love Redmond, but one of the top things that people love about this city are its awesome opportunities for getting out and about. From fantastic shopping and big-name concerts to micro brews and delicious food, every weekend in Redmond can be a new adventure!
Here’s a look at 9 unique places that make Redmond a truly special place to live:

The Redmond School of Glass is a great way to spend the afternoon. They have ongoing classes, but they also have a wide variety of single classes. It certainly makes for a unique evening out, or a great way to spend the afternoon, when the kids are out of school.
2. Marymoor Park
- Located at 6046 W. Lake Sammamish Pkwy. Redmond, WA 98052
One of the biggest parks in the area, Marymoor truly has it all. If you’re more of the outdoorsy type, Marymoor Park will be right up your alley. This 640-acre park is packed with first-class activities and amenities that you won’t want to miss out on, and it’s got things goin on year round. There are too many things in the park to list them all, but here are some of my favorites: the dog park, climbing wall, velodrome, baseball and soccer fields, and be sure to check out the field where they fly the remote controlled airplanes. It’s pretty cool!
Another big draw for the park is their open-air concert series, which features popular bands, adult beverages, and food trucks serving up a wide variety of yummy grub. Once the weather warms up, be sure to take advantage of the opportunity to catch a show at this one-of-a-kind venue!

For a little taste of everything that Redmond has to offer, no place beats the Redmond Town Center. - Located at 14679 N.E. 95th St. Redmond, WA 98052
In addition to the amazing entertainment opportunities Redmond has to offer, the city also boasts an impressive assortment of local breweries and restaurants. 6. Mac & Jack’s Brewing Company
- Located at 17825 N.E. 65th St. Redmond, WA, 98052
If you find yourself in the mood for something more classic, check out Mac & Jack’s Brewing Company, which has been crafting ales that have been a staple of the Pacific Northwest for the last 25 years. IPAs, porters, stouts, and more make up their small but mighty list of beers and promise a taste that is simple, delicious, and steeped in tradition.
7. Postdoc Brewing
- Located at 17625 N.E. 65th St. Ste. 100 Redmond, WA 98052
For a brewery that’s as fun as its backstory, Postdoc Brewing is the place to be. Originating in the garage of a PhD student, this business offers up delicious beers and features great local food trucks, so you can grab a quick snack to go with your brew. Customers who join their “Pourfessor” program can also receive special discounts and merch, so there’s no reason why you shouldn’t check this spot out as soon as possible!
8. Hi-Fi Brewing
- Located at 14950 N.E. 95th St. Redmond, WA 98052
Rounding out the list of breweries to check out is Redmond’s newest craft beer stop, Hi-Fi Brewing. The team here is dedicated to producing beers that remain faithful to the ingredients and passion that go into them and every beer is jam-pack with rich flavor. For a taste of true artistry in a glass, this brewery is a must.
9. El Toreador
- Located at 7845 Leary Way N.E. Redmond, WA 98052
After a long day of shopping, beer-tasting, or just exploring the sites of Redmond, make a final pit stop at El Toreador. This Mexican restaurant is a personal favorite. All of our family events are celebrated at El T’s for us. For over 35 years, this spot has been serving up authentic Mexican food derived from homegrown recipes handed down by the owners’ mother and the atmosphere is just as warm and inviting as the food itself. If you like mole sauce, theirs is amazing.
